The next generation is already affected by the loss of wildlife and habitats, far more than our own. With your support we will bring to life an education program for children called Kids Wildlife, featuring a sweet young wolf called Tilou. Our project will reach out to the next generation of children, creating awareness about the importance of wild ecosystems, encouraging the future citizens to take care of the planet. Help us overcome the root cause of species extinction and natural catastrophe
Extinction and ecosystem destruction has already had an enormous global impact, seen each year by numerous climate catastrophes. It is scientifically proven that the disappearance of predators like wolves would lead to further ecosystem imbalance. Advocacy groups in Spain focus their efforts on influencing government agents to support environmental issues; with no positive resulted nor policy changes. Instead the Iberian wolf is amongst others currently legal to hunt, facing an uncertain future.
Our project will result in the creation of a program to educate children across Spain about the importance of wild animals, ecosystems and their part in preserving them. The funds will allow our team to develop the curriculum and test it with several groups of children. We will create workshops for teachers, publish high quality lesson materials and online videos to ensure the largest outreach possible. In the first year of our program, we expect to host workshops for 1,500+ children.
Our online resources will be used by teachers in Spain, Portugal and Andorra to reach 25,000 children within 3 years. Together we'll get children playing an active role in preserving the environment. We'll inspire the next generation of biologists and conservationist. Further, we'll encourage family members and friends to think about their daily lives and impact on nature. Today, we start small with this project and together work towards a greener planet with rich biodiversity.
