PROJECT REPORT

PROJECT TITLE: Kids After School Creative Learning Center (34245)

ORGANIZATION: Foundation for Community Development Association, (FCDA) Cameroon

PERIOD: 2nd July, 2018- 02nd , July 2018.

  1. Introduction

Foundation for Community Development Association (FCDA) is a non-profit organization which attained legal status in 2017 with headquarters in Limbe, Cameroon. FCDA has an operational office in Mile 3, Nkwen, Bamenda, the North West region of the country. FCDA has three board members, management team increased to 4 members, 6 staff and 3 volunteers.

  1. Achievements
  • FCDA organized a digital learning session for kids in Bamenda. It was attended by 3 kids.
  • Registered 20 kids for next session starting the 15/10/2018

 

  1. Problems
  • No fund was raised through our Crowdfunding GG Platform.
  • Political instability in the country stalling major actions. High level insecurity with displaced kids, youths and women who are imperative as target to this program.
  • Need for technical assistance such as professional developers services
  • Inadequate revenue sources
  • Need for humanitarian assistance to pverty striking communities as a result of the ongoing political uproar.

 

  1. Upcoming Activities
  • New session for Kids digital project workshop. Kids will get acquainted with tools necessary to build their skills and develop their talents. Effective commencement date is 15/10/2018

 

  1. Potentiality
  • Partnerships with other organizations enabling advancement in work
  • We have developed two micro projects to submit to GG Platform. ‘After school Digital Programs for kids’ and ‘Adult Literacy Programs’
  • Upcoming campaigns on GG Platform

 

  1. Conclusion

 

We appreciate the work of GlobalGiving team as they are very responsive to our project. We are benefiting from training resources, and recognition from many communities.

We did not raise any fund to this project. We are pleading that GG should assist us in getting partnership and receive funding as well as emergency humanitarian assistance to displaced people who could be impacted by this project.
