June 15, 2013 is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.  Education about elder abuse is vital.  It is important to learn the red flags of physical, emotional, and financial abuse.

Cedar Village provides a safe haven at its Shalom Center for Elder Abuse Prevention which offers crisis stabilization stays with a full range of medical, nursing, therapy, social work and legal services to help victims recover and regain control of their lives.  These services and necessary amenities are provided at no charge, part of Cedar Village’s faith-based mission to serve our community.

It's through generous donations and warm hearts that Cedar Village is able to provide not only a safe haven, but the additional amenities so many of these people need.
