This two (2) hour assembly is complied of musical performances, video presentation, cultural suicide awareness, and Music Biz 101 exploration. The tour INSPIRES K-12 students with positive messages about school and individual educational goals using music and creative arts. Our surveys are tools used to assess the needs of students and faculty. They help us measure the financial expectations of each individual school and gauge our fundraising capacity to give back (w/supplies/instruments).
Today, almost a quarter of Michigan's schoolchildren attend a public school outside their home district: About 10 percent attend a charter school and 13 percent are enrolled at a traditional public school in another district. Detroit Public Schools - have been pushed into a downward spiral. The loss of students means loss of funding, which results in program cuts and/or closing schools that cause even more families to leave public school systems in the tri-county area.
By providing a Enrichment Triad Curriculum format: Type I- General Exploratory Activities for laying a foundation for future in-depth studies. Type 2- Group Training Activities which is why we choice assembly style presentations. Type 3- Investigation of Real Problems is the main focus of our Survey feedback and Q & A sessions. Our SAVE THE MUSIC ADVOCACY peaks geniune interest in students as a means for time, stress and anger management. Our "wish list" funding aids educational enhancements.
To give students a way to achieve on a personal level resulting in a mix of personal motivation and social integration into school community. The results of this attitudinal benefit on arts study shows up in a variety of measures including statistics on cognitive engagement and dropout prevention. KTSS provides money and time saving options for schools looking to build skills, increase academic success, heighten standardized test scores, and lower incidents of crime amoung at risk students.
