This has been a great year for Crown Jewel Club! More than 150 fifth grade girls graduated from our core program during the 2011/2012 school year. Many of our girls live and go to schools in gang-infested areas, but a large number of this year's graduates have family members that belong to gangs. We show the girls that they have several options available to them that they will be successful in and keep them out of gangs.
Our follow-up program Gorgeous Gems was a success as well. The Gorgeous Gems program are our core program graduates who have returned each month to review etiquette lessons, learn new skills, and be of service in their own communities.
As we continue to support the schools and programs, we are also happy to expand our services. Crown Jewel Club was awarded grants from The De Miranda Foundation and the Hay Foundation.
Thank you again for all of your kindness and support! Lives will be forever changed because you care.
