In line with our going project of keeping 200 orphans in school , Staffs and volunteers at Action For Community Development decided on the 16th of december 2012 to provide psychosocial support for the orphans. This is very important in helping to keeping the children motivated to wanting to remain in school in complete their Education. Since this holiday period is a time of celebration. A time of Joy and laughter, a time to show love and care and time to give and recieve .We decieded also to include those in secondary school in the celebration. The christmas celebration had alot of activities lined out like sing and dancing time, recieving of gifts , refreshment time. The children sang christmas songs while some of the older one played the instruments like drums and cymbals. Father Christmas was on Ground to give gifts to all children present. The children were later given refreshment of food and drinks. when some of the children were asked how they saw the celebration, they were overjoyed. Some said it was their first time of seeing Father Christmas(Santa Claus) and they were very glad that we brought Father Christmas to see them. One of the pupil sophia said " I am happy to see father christmas ". We THANK all those that are continally given to this project. We will not be able to make this impact without YOU.
