Last November, Saúde Criança won an important award, Making More Health from Changemakers from Ashoka.
Since the beginning of the project, during the past years now we have offered to students 1749 work tools and 2756 professional training courses, internal and external and we hope to keep increasing the numbers of graduation.
In January, Saúde Criança is recognized as the best NGO in Latin America and the 38th in the world
According to the ranking published by the Global Journal, Saúde Criança is ranked the best Brazilian organization and 38th among the top 100 NGOs in the world. This initiative seeks to recognize the important role of NGOs as agents of global change.
The Global Journal, a monthly magazine based in Switzerland, is a new media dedicated to global governance. To reach the final selection, Global Journal used the following criteria: innovation, effectiveness, impact, efficiency & value for money, transparency & accountability, sustainability, strategic & financial management and peer review ( NGO and donor perceptions / awards and recognition).
Initially a list of 1,000 NGOs was established. This first list was then subjected to two group reviews, the first resulted in a ‘short-list’ of 400 and after a qualitative selection the final ranking of 1000 institutions was mounted.
It is the first time that such a list is organized and according to the article published in the magazine, it aims to stimulate debate by providing scholars, diplomats, public policy makers, international organizations and the second sector with an insight of the innovative approaches of the third sector and its main actors.
