Challenge

This project helps women from large poverty areas in Rio de Janeiro. They live in extreme poverty, are uneducated, have sick kids in treatment, and are responsible for the family. They had sick children so they cant work in the formal market, without income and professional opportunities.

Solution

A family is assisted monthly by Saude Crianca through job training, we provide medicine, food, nutrition, legal and psychologist assistant among other needs.

Long-Term Impact

We aim to prepare 90 people per year for the job market by giving them professional courses and tools they need to generate income and sustain their families. We already replicate the model trough Brazil. We changed our model of replication and now we are replicating trough a social franchise model, at the moment there are 10 others Saude Crianca units around Brazil.
