This year is almost coming to an end and we have plenty of things to give thanks for... December is a really special month to us because school classes finish in Argentina so it´s a great month to celebrate the graduation of new children. 360 low- income youth from 15 provinces are finishing high school thanks to Cimientos scholarships and mentorings and many of them got excellent grades and were the best pupils of their whole class!!!!!

We will share the rest of our annual results in our next report because we are still working hard until the last minute to help more youth find their first job... For instance, next Thursday December 1st we are holding our last workshop and get together for our youth. Around 50 of them have confirmed their attendance. During this event, they will prepare their resume and will be trained for their first work interview. At the end, 25 Human Resources employers from more than 10 firms will come to interview them for real job opportunities!!!!

December is also a special month because all over the world people celebrate Christmas and New Year and like to give special presents to their beloved ones. Please consider giving a gift card of our project to your family and friends. This can make a huge difference to our project, increasing our impact in low-income youth lives!

Best regards,

Dear Friends,

During the first part of the year the Graduates Network continue supporting and giving different training and employment opportunities to 1363 youth in 73 cities in Argentina.

Also, this year the Graduates Network included in their activities more than 350 students in their last year of school.

Moreover, 39 companies, organizations and universities chose to work with us and participate in our activities.

One of the main important activities was the Training course in Bussiness administration in alliance with KMPG. 14 youth were trained during 3 months in Administrative skills by KMPG volunteers. 8 of them got a job after the course. Apart from technical content, youth received training in soft skills and vocational orientation. It was a really interesting experience since they got the chance to be workplaced trained and also participate in a recruiting process.

An average of 1 youth per week gets a job by Cimientos Graduates Network. :)

September is a very important month for Education in Argentina because we celebrate Teacher´s and Student´s day. It would be great to enlarge our group of friends and donors so that we can continue empowering more low income youth with new educational and training opportunites to live the life they want.

Best regards and thanks in advance for sharing our report with potential new donors,

Meeting Michelle Obama
Meeting Michelle Obama

Dear friends,

On 23rd March, Cimientos was invited to attend to 2 events organized by the U.S.A Embassy, due to Barack and Michelle Obama´s visit to Argentina.

In the morning, we went with 5 girls of 16 years old to meet Michelle Obama. She gave out an inspirational speech in front of women students and teachers from 16 schools of Buenos Aires. She wanted all the attendees to convert themselves in agents of change, and to follow the example of all those brave women who lived in our country. Our girls spent an unforgettable moment next to Michelle.

In the afternoon we went with 7 youth between 18 and 23 years old to meet Barack Obama, who gave another great speech and spent a whole hour answering questions of hundreds of youth who attended this meeting.

Everyone was really glad to have been invited to these events, it was their first time near a politician so it was incredible for them to meet such important people.

Thanks for making it possible for low income Argentine youth get opportunities as this one and to get their first jobs and foster their education!

Best regards,
