Help Build Iron Street Farm on Chicago's Southside

Bees Bees Bees

Even during one of the coldest weeks this winter, Growing Power is still hard at work ensuring that Iron Street Urban Farm is up and ready to go for the upcoming season. Check out the pictures below of our youth hard at work building bee hives for the farm.  So far, we have 6 hives completed. Each hive will start with 200 bees and then increase to over 60,000 bees each once summer comes! That's a total of 360,000 bees producing hundreds of pounds of honey!

Tell your friends, coworkers, and family about Iron Street Urban Farm. Help us keep this momentum up! We especially need your support now to ensure that Iron Street Urban Farm has the infrastructure set to grow as much fresh food as we possibly can this spring and summer! Consider making a reoccurring monthly contribution, even $10 a month will get us that much closer to our goal.  And once again, thank you for all that you've done.
