It is amazing Fall is upon us and as the season has turned, many great things have transpired on Yuwa’s end since our last correspondence.
Notable news and happenings include:
Yuwa Girls Visit US During September Trip!
Seema and Benita two girls from Yuwa and Hutup village traveled to Washington D.C for two weeks in September to take part in a US state department soccer exchange for Indian and Pakistani girls. Both girls were selected as a result of leadership qualities, commitment to Yuwa, and English language skills. It was a an excellent experience for both of these young girls, as they participated in top notch soccer instruction, cultural activities, and interaction with a diverse set of exchange attendees.
Tribal girls set new 'goals'!
Yuwa was recently featured in The Times of India "Amazing Indians" series. Highlighting the dedication the girls have and how sport is creating a better future for them. Tribal girls set new 'goals'!
ISESE Competition: Yuwa – Kicking it new school in India
Yuwa was highlighed in the Innovative Secondary Education for Skills Enhancement (ISESE) Competition blog series features the winners, runners-up and five additional models that have been selected due to their innovation, impact, sustainability and potential for replication in Africa and Asia.
