Summary

We are a charity trust organization in Kenya that focuses in finding solutions to the street families problems especially children who are the majority. This project will focus on Street-Child Family Reunion through Counseling and reintegrating 2000 children back to their families for good social Care. To us, no love is greater than the love of a family. After this we enroll them to schools to continue with their studies for the drop outs and freshly join those who had never had an education.

Challenge

Kenya especially the capital city Nairobi region is the most affected with over a population of 600,000 street families and an estimate of 350,000 vulnerable children on the streets and number increasing daily. The street children and families are all over the city and other towns in the country. This has resulted to high rate of drug abuse, child molestation and rape, crimes and an endangered future for Kenya as a country. It is also a nuisance to the city and towns residence due to the begging

Solution

ZSCF seeks framework for finding lasting solution to the street family menace by reducing the number of street children through various initiatives. Being on the ground and working with the street families on daily basis and trying to solve their problems have made us earn their trust. Integration is our main objective of solving the problem and education. This go hand in hand with rehabilitation, health care etc to drastically the overwhelming number.

Long-Term Impact

Children being the future of this country the problem must have a long term solution to avoid destroying their future. The Project long term is to build a holistic institution that can educate, provide health care, nurture and tap talents, rehabilitate and offer vocational training. As Zero Street Child Foundation integrate the children to their families they can join the institution with their families approval and support. This will bring up hope to complete family set up.
