INEMAE - Initiative for Nurturing Entrepreneurship & Employability in Marrakech, Agadir & Essaouira is a 24 months EFE-Maroc's project that aim to promote inclusive, sustainable climate-resilient economic growth in Marrakech, Agadir, and Essaouira by providing entrepreneurship training and technical support to small and medium-sized businesses along with market-driven skills training to young job seekers, benefiting to 200 youth and women who will have acquired future-proof employability skills
Youth unemployment and the lack of tangible opportunities for socio-economic inclusion are critical issues in both the Souss-Massa and Marrakech-Safi regions, posing significant socio-economic challenges. The youth unemployment rate in Marrakech-Safi (8.2%) and Souss-Massa (13.6%) has significant socio-economic consequences. It contributes to poverty, social instability, and increased pressure on social services. This situation underscores the need for effective interventions to address this gap
The objective of the INEMAE project is to foster inclusive, sustainable economic growth in Marrakech, Agadir, and Essaouira over the course of 24 months, by addressing youth and women unemployment through market-driven skills trainings leading to gainful employment and supporting small and medium-size businesses through entrepreneurship training and technical support. INEMAE goals: Goal 1: Promote the creation of small and medium-size businesses; and Goal 2: Increase employability of the Youth
A more agile and inclusive labor market is developed in Marrakech-Safi and Souss-Massa regions; Local Institutions and NGOs equipped to help more entrepreneurs in the regions; Youth and women unemployment and NEET rates are reduced Youth gain economic opportunities and the ability to reach self-sufficiency to support themselves and their families; Women are socio-economically empowered and gain the dignity they need to lead a decent life.
