Hurricane Sandy Relief for New Jersey Residents

$13,502 $0
Raised Remaining

We would like to thank everyone who donated to the Hurricane Sandy Project.  Please see updated report on one of our projects that was funded through this fundraiser.

Back in November of 2012, a Hoboken New Jersey Food Bank was in need of repair for their facility.  We gave them the money to repair the building, so that they could continue their work this year.  It has now been fully restored with the help from this fund Raiser.  Please see photo below.  We will be updating more pictures of other projects.  Please check back regularly.

Global Reach International would like to thank everyone for their generous donations.  Please see some of the attached photos of the progress that was made at the Union Beach EMS station in Union Beach NJ.  We gave the funding to restore their building back to its original use.  Global Reach International will be vising the EMS station in the next few weeks to get final photos of their progress.

We also attached a letter from a Hoboken NJ Food Bank that needed funding to restore their heating system that was destroyed during the storm.  We have given money to complete the project.  The project costs were $4200.00.  Now they can be assured that the upcoming winter season won’t be affected due to no heat.  Pictures will be made in the next few weeks of their progress.

We also gave out gift cards to people who needed to buy supplies that were lost during the storm.  Global Reach International will have one final report in June with the breakdown of all donations.  Please check back.

Thank You

Global Reach International has been disbursing the funds to those in need.  On January 19th we visited some areas that were hit the hardest.  After traveling to these areas it was surprising on how little has been done to rebuild.  Many homes are still inhabitable.

Our focus was to make sure money went directly to those who really needed it.  Below are some of the photos from our previous trip.  We have asked locals to share their photos and stories in the coming weeks.  Money has been distributed in the following way.

Union County EMS, Union Beach New Jersey has received $5000.00 to rebuild their EMS station back to what is was before.

Suffern Rotary Club: $500.00 for their relief of Hurricane Sandy

Great Neck Rotary Club: $500.00 for their relief of Hurricane Sandy

Home Depot Cards:  Ranging from $150-$400 to local communities hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy.

There is still many EMS and Fire Stations that need our help to rebuild their stations.  Any support will be grealty appreciated.  We thank you for your support in helping those who lost so much.
