The 2012 Protege Project schedule is finalized and our third year will take us to some familiar places in Portland as well as some new venues. Our three Club Concerts will be:
Wed June 27 - Doug Fir Lounge - Amphion String Quartet playing Bartok, Berg and Brahms.
Wed July 11 - Someday Lounge - Amphion Quartet plus Gloria Chien, festival artists David Shifrin and Julie Feves performing music by our first-ever Protege composer, Katerina Kramarchuk. The composer herself will also perform on piano.
Wed July 25 - Alberta Rose Theater - Edgar Meyer and his son George will perform with Protege brass and percussionists, along with the Amphion Quartet in a diverse program.
In addition to the Club Concerts, our 2012 Proteges will join Festival artists for main stage concerts and will perform around town in free public outreach concerts and private events, including at the Museum of Contemporary Craft, and a joint show at PSU's Lincoln Hall with the renowned local modern dance company, BodyVox.
We hope you will join us for the exciting third year of the Protege Project! More details are available on our website at the following link:
