KUMBIDY, KERALA-HOUSES TO 3 FAMILIES HANDED OVER !

We at Warrier foundation have always been trying to reach out to the right families and individuals who are seeking support and help from our society. It has really been our dream to be able to benefit such individuals directly & effectively .

In, Kumbidy Town (Kerala) -  Free housing project, we have been able to identify 3 families who needs our support the most and thus have provided them with free homes to secure their most important basic living needs.

Below we have provided 3 free home to

1. Mr. Manikandan and his wife.

Mr. Manikandan is a disabled beneficiary who used to earn his living by selling lottery tickects. His wife has been besides him for years supporting both of them, they did not have a home to live inn. Now, we have provided him with roof over this head and  he supports the community by motivating others to keep working hard .

2. Smt. Chinnamma & her daughter.

Smt. Chinnanmma, 86 years old, has been very ill and suffering through various ailments and was living in very bad conditions in a broken house with temporary roof. Her only support system was her only daughter who is also a widow without any place to go or live. Warrier foundation has provided them with a new home with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and clean environment for their better well-being.

3.Smt. Rahila & 3 orphan Grandchildren

Smt. Rahila, is originally from Trivandrum and now resides in her new home at Kumbidy - Warrier Foundation center. Her daughter passed away suddenly leaving behind 3 grandchildren, 1 girl and 2 boys , who are now in the care of Smt. Rahila . This new home helps her and her next generation and supports them for a better future.

Kerala has been suffering for more than 2 years due to recurring floods and landslides. We at Warrier Foundation want to be a part of re-building the faith of the villagers and destitute by constructing houses for poor in association with like-minded socially committed organizations. We have successfully completed 3 projects during last 2 months of providing free houses for 45 families, across Kerala, India.

Below we are attaching details of one of the Successfully completed Event for Free- Housing.

Mazhuvannur at Ernakulam, here we have constructed 12 houses. 9 houses have been given to women who are widows and from poor backgrounds. These 9 women represent strength and courage in spite of their poor living conditions and they have been taking care of their children or fighting various illness, disease’s and other financial crisis and this small house will help provide them with protection and safety for the coming years. We feel proud to have contributed to fulfil their dream of having a House and thus contribute to protect the whole family and build a Better India.

The handing over ceremony was conducted on 9th Nov. 2019 by the presence of honourable MP Shri. Benny Benehennan and local MLA Shri Sajeendran , in Kerala, India. And there were more than 800 people present in Pet Rose auditorium at Kolanchery, Kerala. The local people celebrated the occasion with variety of entertainment programme and also hosted a dinner for all. We really want to salute the local people for their magnanimous participation and contribution.

Housing colony for disaster victims
Housing colony for disaster victims

It was only 11 months ago where we witnessed one of the heaviest floods in the state of Kerala in India last August. The floods displaced over 10,000 familes from their homes by completely and partially damaging them accross the state.

The wounds were only still healing from the last disaster when in the last two weeks heavy rains have again significantly impacted the lives of the residents of the "Gods Own Country". With already over a hundred deaths and forty injuries reported the numbers of the damage is only rising. The Goverment looks to aid the families by providing financial support for the affected families. It is also our aim to reach and identify as many families damaged from this disaster and provide them with habitation and build a new home for the fully displaced.

With your support and blessings we can reach maximum families and look to provide for them. This is the utmost need of the hour in the beautiful state of Kerala and a crucial time to provide a helping hand to the affected families.
