this project will construct houses to 700 widows in nyakach sub-county,kenya. it will provide good shelter for the vulnerable members of the society and lifting their standard of living.
due to the geographical position of nyakach sub-county,it is surrounded by rivers that cause flood havoc during rainy season.it destroys houses and many people are displaced.the target is widows and the vulnerable people who cannot effort to build new houses in case they lose their houses during flood.
if we construct these houses to the widows,we will lift them up and stop street families that has thronged the area and avert the mass annual displacement of people due to poor housing system caused by flooding in Nyakach sub-county.
the project is set to sustain the community settlement level where people stay in houses built in a manner that cannot be destroyed by the frequent floods in the area.the first phase of the project will provide semi-permanent houses to 700 widows while we are targeting a population of 10,000 people.
