Hope for Humans' goal is to give life back to children afflicted with Nodding Syndrome, a devastating neurological disease. For $10 per day you can provide a child with NS 24 hour health care, special needs education, nutritionally supplemented meals, access to clean drinking water, agricultural training, and community empowerment, awareness, and advocacy. We are raising $19,000, the cost to provide our services to 21 children for 3 months.
Nodding Syndrome(NS), a relatively unknown neurological disease, is affecting thousands of children and communities in Uganda. The disease is characterized by a nodding of the head, produced by seizures, and leads to cognitive impairment. There is no known cause or cure but with careful treatments the health of these children can drastically improve.
Our already established care center has proven our treatments can drastically improve the lives of children with Nodding Syndrome. Your donations provide funding to our life-changing programs and give us the resources to continue providing education, healthcare, nutrition, and water to children with Nodding Syndrome.
Children that were once given no hope to live are now dancing, playing, and learning. Our programs provide a future for children with Nodding Syndrome which includes reintegration into public education, vocational training, and community contribution.
