Although it still feels like summer and school is just getting started, the holidays are really just around the corner. Soon, kids' thoughts will turn to the what gifts they would like and what they might receive.
Burbank Temporary Aid Center's Santa's Room Program will help make some of those wishes come true. Sadly, often teens have to watch their younger siblings, as they receive fun, age-appropriate gifts, while they receive very little or even go without gifts. Teens truly are the most overlooked age-group during the holidays.
Donations made to this program help us fill the void which consistently occurs in gifts for teenagers. With your help, our volunteers will be able to distribute appropriate gifts, based on the kids' requests. The gifts are not oppulent, but they are thoughtful. We hope to provide sports equipment, mp3 players, clothing, books and other often requested items.
Thank you for your support. You truly will help make the holidays brighter.
