This project is intended to increase the knowledge of 150 village young people about HIV prevention, sexually transmitted infections (STI's); reproductive health and methods of family planning in HUYE District.
The young people in villages of HUYE District are not skilled about their life.The most important is the risk of the"transmittable"deadly disease AIDS with an HIV prevalence rate of 3.1 percent.Many young people today are infected by HIV/AIDS and are suffering the consequences,being lethally ill.Teenagers pregnancies and venereal diseases are common problems facing the young people.These can brutally interrupt their education.The Contraceptive prevalence (Family Planning) is 37% (ISSN:2141-7024)
By educating and training 150 village young people, this project solves this problem by hosting workshops, teaching sessions and showing movies all related to the prevention of HIV/AIDS; sexual health and family planning
Through peer education and trainings; the 150 participants are enabled to spread the message in the community where they live in their own way by working with the local leaders to whom we have introduced ourselves during the project implementation
