In the midst of Venezuela's worst ever economic crisis, citizens from every walk of life are being severely affected and children are among the most vulnerable ones especially those from the most impoverished areas: Slums. Our project seeks to alleviate those disadvantaged children who are at risk of malnutrition, bringing them food cooperating with "Suena mi Gente" project. We'll also offer them learning opportunities to foster a better future outlook as they're Venezuela's future generation.
Venezuela's high levels of hyperinflation reaching 1.700.000% have generated shortages of food, medicines and basic healthcare services worsening the life quality of citizens, especially the poorest groups. The national currency is virtually worthless and price increases make it impossible to achieve their goals. We seek to help underprivileged Petare children, one of the poorest slums in Caracas providing them with learning opportunities, a safe environment, access to a daily meal and hope!
We will establish a "Once a day meal" child food programme in one of the most deprived areas of Petare where access to food and education is scarce, and provide these impoverished children with a daily meal, workshops and other activities as an after school programme where they can access food, knowledge and skills which will help them see a better future. Your donation will be commendable and every dollar you give will make a huge difference in the life of each of these unprivileged children.
This project will provide these poverty-stricken with food, knowledge and skills which they can't access by other means. We will help improve these children's life perspectives in the long-term by showing them a different world and offering them new future opportunities. We'll also create a strong sense of community among the people who get involved promoting values such as team work, generosity, responsibility, respect, cooperation and provide them with tools to lift them out of poverty.
