Life Skills for Bantul Women of Eathquake Victims
There are 2 excellent activities in this program; 1. The empowerment of women widowed of earthquake victims The activity In this program is given training sewing to make traditional clothing (batik) and local traditional hat (blankon). Participants who took part in this training are 26 women who all were of an earthquake victims. Because limited budget, so this program does not continue. Therefore needed attention and assistance from all the donors so that this program can continue.
2. The empowerment of children of earthquake victims. In addition to providing vocational education to the mothers we also provide free educational programs for their children so that their children can obtain a useful education for them. Activities we provide to children include: a. Tutoring for elementary school children The materials we provide include Mathematics, English, natural science and social science.
b. Kindergarten school for kids The materials we provide; learning to read, learn to count, sing and sport together.
This activity still continue with support for insufficient funds
Besides the children hoping to re-learn the computer.
