Justice and Care is an Anti- Human Trafficking organisation that works towards rescuing, rehabilitating and re-integrating victims of trafficking. We aim to rescue women and children from slavery, bring justice on the criminal networks responsible and spark systemic change.
Victims of trafficking are physically abused, not allowed to leave the premises and have their life restricted and in some cases denied basic human rights. It is estimated that 40 million people are enslaved around the world today. Every 30 seconds another child is trafficked. Often between countries. The scale of the problem is immense and has its global epicentre in South Asia - where our work has considerable focus.
Our programs focus on Prevention, protection and prosecution. We do this by saving lives, helping to bring criminal networks to justice and providing extensive care to survivors of trafficking. And, as we do, we're seeing change: in policies, systems, implementation processes and those personally affected. We give everything to this because modern slavery must end.
Justice and Care follows an end to end strategy, where we actively take part from the time of rescue to rehabilitation and up till the day the survivors become independent and are re-integrated back into the society. Our aftercare programs include intensive care, counselling and regular follow up with the survivors. Justice ad Care also conduct community intervention programs in communities that are vulnerable to trafficking in order to prevent further trafficking of women and children.
