Oregon Friends of Shelter Animal's mission is to reduce the number of adoptable animals euthanized in overcrowded shelters, restore them to good health, and through adoption, provide them permanent, loving homes. We need your help to get Lucy the surgery she deserves to live a happy, healthy life with her forever family. Lucy had a claw amputated before coming to us and unfortunately, it is not healing at all. She needs surgery to remove lots of bone fragments that are causing the problem!
Thousands of adoptable animals are euthanized each day. Many of them have medical conditions their parents can't afford to pay for, therefore, they surrender them to shelters. OFOSA wants to rescue as many of those homeless pets as possible, get them the appropriate medical care, and through adoption, find them forever homes. Animals and humans alike benefit from being companions and we reduce the number of stray pets living on the streets.
This project will help at least one of those sweet animals become healthy and find a forever, loving home!
Long-term...we just keep chipping away at the number of animals that high kill shelters put to death due to lack of space. :-(
