Dear Friends of PAAJAF, Thank you very much for your great support and believed in our project.  We would like to share with you the about the project  you supported though we have to close this project since could not raise the fund needed to get it fully implemented.

The success story comes from our past student who have left the school to different schools in our community due to lask of classrooms and land, as well as fund to start permanent building to accomodate the students.  The student who left the school and other ones are those we started the project with and in fact, the fund contributed has been a great help to them.  The are doing great in the respective schools they are in.  Below is the update of the headmistress and I will link the full article to this report:

We are happy to announce to you the good results we have gotten from our past students who were transit from PEI to the various schools in our community due to lack of classroom to accommodate them from Primary 1 to Primary 2. Two of our fifteen students who transited and graduated from PEI, Christpher and Susana, both excelled. Last December, during the Christmas break, each placed first in the 2018/2019 first term examination in their respective schools. This is a reflection of the quality of our PEI teachers and staff. Our high standards, commitment, and exceptional teaching methods are reflected in the community through our students who have continued their education at other schools. We appreciate you all, PEI teachers and staff.

Please we have created this project to help has to start a permanent school building where we will fully commence this project there:

Would you please help us by joing us to share this please with friends?  We need your help.

Thank you

Every time we open a book, we learn something new: a beautiful story, or a fairy tale, or something new totally out of the box. We can get so much exposure just by turning the page.

Once a great leader, Mr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, former President of India, truly said:

“Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge, and knowledge makes you great.”

Knowledge is not only bound in the syllabus or in the customized curriculum, there is always more for youths who are thirsting for it.  In Accra, specifically in the GBAWE community, there is a dire need for a library, as it will provide the children, adolescents, and youths the tools to reach their potential and  fulfill their dreams.

PEI aims to create an enabling environment for children, teenagers, and adults to fully develop their human potential through the appreciation of literature and literacy.  The library project  ensures that the literacy rate in the community goes up.

As we have to provide you update about this project.  We are still in the process of locating resources to fully commence this project.  The eReaders we have now, we are using it in our school.

We have full proposal for this project been written, please would it interest you to learn more about this project?

Would you please help to share this project? We are in need of sponsors and volunteers to work on this project.

Thank you

This project seeks to $11,633 to help fully implement it in the Gbawe Community. It aimed at creating a learning environment for the PEI school children and the other population in Gbawe. It started 2 years ago of which we were donated e-Readers from Worldreader and through GlobalGiving we have also been able to raise $227 from 4 donors.

Frankly, the project is still standstill since it lack other resource to get it rolling fully.  We are in need of the resources mentioned in this project and would be help us to implement it in the Gbawe community of Accra, Ghana?

Please any amount is welcome and we need sponsors and volunteers.  Do you know someone who want to take a volunteer trip to Ghana or want to support a project in Ghana? If yes, would give us a reference?

Thank you

PAJAAF Educational Institute (PEI) Library (CAARC) project aimed at creating a learning environment for the PEI school children and the other population in Gbawe.

PEI (Paajaf Educational Institute) was started to accomplish the vision of becoming a leading resource center for poor orphans, underprivileged and neglected children, youth and women at Gbawe and beyond in Ghana. PAAJAF strives to eradicate poverty and illiteracy through quality education and job training. The Organization believes that education is the key to ending poverty in Gbawe community.

The library had been factored into the construction plan of PEI main school building when a plot was purchased, and the school building commenced. World reader Organization has been able to locate sponsors for PEI to provide the library with e-readers thatare accessible by both children, young adults and adults – especially women.

Literacy is a foundational skill that sets up children for lifelong success. Unfortunately, the project still lack the basic tools needed to fully commence which include the following, venue, tables and chairs, installation of internet, hiring of library staff and books to learn and read; contextually and linguistically relevant books and reading materials.

With this project, children who cannot afford to purchase reference books in school will be able to access e-reader books, including the capability of borrowing e-readers for their coursework and hard copy books. It is our goal to make the PEI Library accessible to the entire community, both adult and children and it is expected to reach 145 students we have in the school and 14 adults for adult education.

We call for your help to help us to implement this project. Please do you have any concerns or question about this project? Please would be more than happy to receive and answer you was well. Would please help to share this project with your friends and ask them to support it?

Thank you

The community library project by the PAAJAF Foundation through the CAARC, is for both the PEI school children and their Gbawe Community in Ghana. It is intended to be a resource to the PEI main school program. PEI is dedicated to quality education within the classrooms and outside the classroom.

Our partnership with Worldreader has provided us 35 e-reader devices for the project which now additional help is needed to acquire the other resources needed to get the project fully implemented.

Currently, there is no private or a community library in Gbawe. Many people cannot afford the high cost of purchasing reference materials for coursework, and sufficient access to technology and the Internet is lacking, so help is needed.

Currently we are using the e-readers in the PEI classrooms and we need help to fully implement the project.
