On the morning of 6 February 2023, 11 cities in southeastern Turkey were awakened from their sleep by a terrible earthquake. These cities are home to about 15 million Turkish citizens and about 2 million Syrian and Afghan refugees.
After the earthquake, thousands of people had to leave their cities and Istanbul became one of the main targets of this migration.
With your donations in our "Help The Babies" project, we have so far provided hygiene kits, formula and nappies to the babies of refugee families living in Istanbul. With your contributions, you have supported 199 families so far.
However, this time, we distributed 9 kits, which we purchased with your donations for the last three months, refugee households who came to Istanbul due to the earthquake and temporarily stayed with their relatives.
Your donations met the one-month formula and nappy needs of the babies of 9 families who lost everything in the disaster and had to migrate to other cities, we are grateful!
Thank you for your contribution and support when such support is needed the most. We will continue to distribute the baby kits that we will purchase with your support and to support babies in the coming months.
We look forward to your continued support.
With gratitude!
