Our partner, Root Foundation, has since 2012 supported street children in the Rwandan capital, Kigali. The local government has until now let them use one of their buildings. But now the government needs the building for other purposes and we are therefore raising funds to support that Root Foundation can buy their own property to ensure the continuation of their work. Everyone at Root Foundation works on a voluntary basis without pay.
Root Foundation has until now been housed in a building owned by the local government. The government now needs the building for other purposes and Root Foundation needs to find another premise for their activities.
If we manage to raise funds to buy property, Root Foundation will be able to focus even more on their core task of helping marginalized children i Kigali.
If Root Foundation gets their own property, the very good work of the organization will be sustained for a long time.
