Help Women Work their Way Out of Poverty in Togo
Background
Together we are empowering individuals in Africa who are interested in creating small businesses. This will give them the opportunity to get out of poverty and help in the development of their community through boosting economic development. We will provide small loans for business investments as well as training and coaching to entrepreneurs in the rural areas of the Maritime Region in Togo. The ambition is to support villagers with micro-business and indirectly children to go to school and to empower womens’ status.
Project updates
HR&S and Action10’s programme are empowering the HR&S Branch Togo to take advantage of the HR&S Management Strategy for Change, ROPE (Real-time Outcome Planning & Evaluation), because we are committed to ensuring sustainable impact.
The future vision is that after the 200 microbusinesses have shown their viability, the loan is given back to the HR&S country bank account in Togo, where it can be utilized again and again to assist an additional 200 women. In 2020, the program's second phase has started, and is anticipated to become sustainable by 2025. To reach a goal, HR&S and Action10 trying to fundraise in order to guarantee a capital of EUR 15,000 per program. To ensure the program's sustainability, the funding is given in smaller instalments along with concurrent program management coaching and auditing.
Thank you!
