Saved by Music Foundation is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Mbale, Uganda. Our organization is lead and run by volunteers and we rely on donations from the public to ensure that we can continue to provide the support and care that the children of Mbale need. Saved by Music Foundation is dedicated to helping vulnerable children. Street children and children that come from the poorest families within our community are our main focus and priority.
For the past 8 years, we have been operating under a rented house and this has always limited what we can do in terms of reaching out to the many vulnerable children who are in need of help to transform their lives. This has not been sustainable at all and has been and is a threat to our own future existence as an organization. The current place is too small and expensive with limitation from the owner on what we can do from it and we will be evicted soon.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 (for the first phase) to go towards purchasing land and construction of a permanent home for Saved by Music Foundation. So far we have managed to raise $350.00 from music concerts. As at 24/12/2017 we need to raise $24,650 more to reach our goal. Think about us next time you are lining up to get your morning coffee.
We hope to grow Saved by Music foundation over the coming years and help as many young people as we can, we hope you will join us in this mission as our partners and gain the benefits which you will deserve for funding SMF and its work and message. Once we have a place of our own, we will be able to support more street children through our music programme and help them return home and school so that they can have a brighter future.
