Help Russian orphans find a family

We thank each and every one who helps to find families for orphans’ children. Thanks to your donations, we have created video profiles for 1,300 orphans, of which 299 children are already in families.

Operators, correspondents, editors, filming coordinators talk about what is behind the filming of the video profile, thanks to which foster parents find their son, or daughter:

"One after another, children's lives pass in front of us. Those lives we hope to make to change. Misha, he is 5 years old, dreams of a puppy and asks permission to give his chop to a dog, which he often sees behind the fence. Four-year-old Alena enthusiastically prepares food for "her kids" in a toy kitchen. Artem does not speak, but skilfully imitates the sound of a car klaxon by rolling cars.

The long shooting day is over. We go further and understand that we will not forget either smiles or serious eyes with this recognizable non-childish expression that appears in all children living in orphanages.

The footage is being edited, voiced - and now Alena, Misha, Artem are talking about themselves. One can only hope that expectant parents can hear these voices, see the most important thing in the video."

A few years ago, Alina (name changed at her request), together with her husband, decided to take a foster child into the family. It turned out to be a little boy. 'Our whole journey from filing in care to our son coming home took 8 months. On February 14, on the day of lovers, our son was at home with us. While the husband got used to the idea of an adopted child, the son was already sitting on his lap. The kid joined the family right away. There was no adaptation, no getting used to it. All our relatives fell in love with the baby from the first day. His serious studying gaze, penetrating into the very soul, left no one indifferent. "

And a few years later, another adopted child came to the family - an eight-month-old girl. "Her first holidays - Birthday and New Year - we celebrated at home. The daughter immediately realized that our house is her small world, in which it is good and safe. During the year, the baby managed to remove all diagnoses, at home she blossomed and turned into a real beauty. "

"Initially, deciding on such an important step as the adoption of adopted children, my husband and I did not focus on age, diagnoses and other points. We perfectly understood that life is wiser than us, and it will lead to us exactly those children who should be with us. That's how it came out. "

In December 2022, Charity Foundation "Change one life" celebrated the 10th anniversary of the work. Over the years, the foundation has helped change the lives of more than 63,000 children from orphanages and almost 20,000 foster families. 23,870 children are already at home.

Elena from Novosibirsk, in addition to the adult blood son Alexander, has five foster daughters. Each child is with her own exceedingly difficult fate.

Irina, foster mother of 5 children, is sure only videoprofile gives the full image of a child. As she says video helps potential parents to know better and to feel their future children. 

"The videoprofile of Ilya catched me.- tells Irina. I felt that the child is "ours". There was a feeling that he is a home boy, he hadn't the orphanage print. When I came for him, the orphanage workers were surprised. Ilya was 12 years old, and it happens very rare, when such grown-up children are taken into family."

It's one of the happy stories when children get to family even if there was so little hope for it.
