The project will assist 2 000 Russian orphans to find a new family by making short video profiles about them. Video profiles would be promoted through social media, mass media and the adoption communities in order to speed up the search to find a family for these children. Your donation would change the life of 2000 kids and would fill 2000 homes with joy, love and happiness.
There are about 40 000 kids left without parents in Russia. The reality is that social services do not fulfill the search of a new family for them, it's made only by the initiative of parents. And not so many families decide to take in the orphans. The main reasons are that there are a lot of negative myths within society about such kids and the information in the state database is often very poor: bad or very old photos, very few words about the kid, quite often not actual data and etc.
Our project works all over the Russia. We assist children left without parent's care to find a family by making their video profiles. These short films shows children as they really are: with their talents, joy and hopes. Real children are much more than just few words and a photo in state database. Videos help orphans to find a way to their new home quicker. We maintain the database of such videos on our website and promoting them in social media, mass media and adopters communities.
Family placement of orphans make them more socially adapted and lessens the possibility that their children would become social orphans too. And, video profiles open the doors of the orphanages to society at large to help overcome the negative myths that these children to be fundamentally disadvantaged. Videos change the attitude about adoption in society and involve new people into it.
