Summary

The project of Dvizhenie Vverh (Movement Up Charity Foundation) will help kids with disabilities to get rehabilitation in medical centers. Rehabilitation (i.e. recovery of capabilities, lost either during disease or injury) is so vital and necessary for such kids since it might help them become independent and return to an ordinary life: to socialize with age-mates, go to school, make friends, travel, etc.

Challenge

Dvizhenie Vverh (Movement Up Charity Foundation) was established in March 2018 and helps kids with disabilities all over Russia to get rehabilitation. According to Federal Register of Disabled on October 2021 there are 720 930 kids with disabilities in Russia. Most of them need rehabilitation in medical centers to become independent and live a happy, dynamic and intense life. The project will help at least 15 kids under care to receive so necessary treatment and rehabilitation in medical centers

Solution

Dvizhenie Vverh (Movement Up Charity Foundation) helps kids to get vital rehabilitation and approve the quality of their lives. Every kid gets an individual rehabilitation program, developed by high-quality specialists of medical centers. The program includes tasks and goals, which a kid should achieve during the rehabilitation. During the rehabilitation in medical centers the mothers of kids under care are taught to support skills, which a kid got in a center, at home, to avoid throw-back

Long-Term Impact

The project will help at least 15 kids with disabilities to improve their lives and become self-dependent, to get their individual goals: some kids will be able to take a spoon and start eating on their own, some kids will be able to pronounce the first word, some kids will be able to make the first step. In general, every year Dvizhenie Vverh helps more than 30 kids with disabilities to get rehabilitation in medical centers and the number of kids, whom the Foundation helps, grows every year
