Progress Report on Youth Project

September-November

  1. Twelve graders and Vocational Training

Seven of our children now turn into youths and five of them are in grade 12_ last step for them at high school. They study hard from dawn to dust as now the curriculums are very tough, so only hard-working students will have a chance to pass. In late 2015, Asean integration will be implemented, and there won’t be any borders among the ten Asean countries. For this, we need to prepare ourselves well, especially for the younger people. The job market will be much tighter and more competitive. We are so happy to see their hard-working habits and determination to the study. All of them have clear purposes for what they will do after grade 12.

We believe that, through their hard work, they will pass the exam and their future will be guaranteed.

This year one of our male youths decided to choose vocational training as electrician instead of going to study general knowledge at state school since he is old enough for a job and he is still in low grade. It is important to have a skill before he leaves Santepheap to live independently by himself. The training will take him one year to finish.

Success of our previous youths

Last year, three of our youth girls finished their training in bakery and pastry from a recognized hospitality school in Siem Reap, and now they all have a job in this field in hotels. They enjoy working and earning money. Another male youth, who is a mechanic man working as a trainer at the organization where he studied this skill is very happy and busy with his job. Even the time is tight since they have a job, they still make their way to Santepheap quite often because they have good relationship with their brothers and sisters here.

We all thank you to your all generous supports in all forms that enable us to provide services to these potential children. Without you, Santepheap would not exist. Additionally, we deeply thank for your trust in what we have been doing and we try our best to promote openness and transparency.

As Christmas is coming soon in this month, we wish you all the best and happy Merry Christmas.

Happy Merry Christmas!!!
