Arusha....here i come again
By Andrew Martin Niwagab | Project leader
A blessed New Year 2014 to all our donors friends and well wishers. Thank you for your support through 2013.
After an interesting year of travel abroad and training, One offer to kick start the new year is already in. I am expected to attend a 6 week (3 Modules) traning at the trade policy training centre in Africa, Arusha Tanzania. It is always a ajoy for me to take time off and go to different places and network for the Foundation. I will be delighted to go if conditions and circumstances allow. I have attached the admission to the training course. I hope i get a comfirmation for the scholarship soon. I can onl go if am given full or partial scholarship.
It is very important to take part in these rainings because i benefit alot from the exposure. It is equally imprtant for me to attend because i represent the Foundation and talk about what we do and stand for whenever i find myself. It is for this reason that i am grateful for whatever help you can extend to this project more so if i am given a partial scholarship and need to fork out something. I am always willing to make the time and attend. I I am also happy to apply what i have learnt from the training to my work and organisational context. I am grateful for your help.
Happy 2014 Once again

What a YEAR!
By Andrew Martin Niwagaba | Project Leader
The Next time i write a report for this project will be 2014. It is amazing how time flies! It seems like yesterday that we were celebrating a new year and fast forward, we are talking about 2013 year end. Life is a puzzle....am not sure anyone would deny that. There have been lots of good opportunities in 2013 and am grateful for the support thats was extended to the project in one way or another. I am also happy to note that i fully utilised the available opportunities.
I am grateful to you all because am ending the year on a high note. I was able to attend a training on Online fundraising, Climate Change and Green low carbon development and then International Trade and Development. All these fields are very relevant to the activities i am involved in working with local communities that face different challenges and most important, i continue to make friends for the organisation during my travels. I look forward to more travels engagements in 2014.moreso with your support.
With your help and assistance, i am happy to inform you that i will be graduating with an Post Grad Diploma (Internediate) in International Trade Policy and Trade Law from The Trade Policy Training Centre In Africa (Arusha, Tanzania) on the 24th November 2013. You will remember that the primary reason i put up this project was because i had a partial scholarship with Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa and am happy that with your help, we are begining to yield results. I will continue to look out for these scholarships and with the exposure from the scholarships i should be able to continue to foster and forge worthwhile partnerships for the organisation.
I still need support to attend the graduation and i will be happy if you can help.
I wish each one of you a Merry X - Mas and a Happy New Year 2014.

Fresh From Beijing
By Andrew Martin Niwagaba | Executive Director - NAF

After my maiden overseas trip to Washington DC in April 2013, another rare opportunity for overseas travel came knocking for an all expense paid three weeks trip to Beijing China. The trips to Washington Dc and Beijing were both long trips/flights and i loved the challenges of overseas travel especially for someone who bad not been beyond neighbouring Kenya until recently.
I enjoyed my stay in China and am looking forward to my next trravel experience. I attended an International Conference on Climate change in Guiyang City and attended a seminar on climate change for three weeks in Beijing. The training on climate change could not come at a better time of the year given that it had not rained for fourt month in Ngoma Sub County, most evidently due to climate change, a phenomenon that is still new to most people in rural areas of Uganda. I am gald i can now train my community about climate change.
I continue to make friends for my organiosation and community during my travels, and, am excited about my new contacts, friends etc. The benefits from my Beijing trip can only be handled at national level for the larger comunity and am engaging some of the peoples' representatives so that we tap into what China has to offer to the local people particularly the people in my community. I will certainly keep you informed on any developments.
I am looking forward to my next international engagement. It might take time to realise some of the things i want to do as a human being but am ready for the wait. I pray that you keep supporting this project for the benefit of the organisation and the entire community.
Thank you for the support
