Provide housing for 100 Ebola affected orphans

by Christ Children Home Educational Fund (CCHEF) Vetted since 2014

Since the Ebola virus outbreak in 2014, over 4500 children lost their parents and became orphaned. These children are now struggling to find food, shelter, medical care and the support they need to sustain themselves in the proper way. Taking them off the streets is very essential because if we don't they could be exploited in many ways for example the sex trade, child labor, arm robbery, and theft. Upon completion of the girls and boys dorms, we will be able to house 100 orphan children.

The high orphan population from civil war and the Ebola crisis. This situation has devastated our children leaving them hungry, uneducated, homeless, hopeless, confused stigmatized and discriminated. If left to fend for themselves, these children could fall prey to the sex trade, child labor, living in the streets and eating out of the garbage just to survive. Our children deserve better, therefore we are providing them with a safe and loving home where they can thrive and grow to adulthood.

Our organization provides a loving home, education, and nurturing environment where our children can thrive and grow without fear of starvation, homelessness, illiteracy, trafficking, child labor, stigmatization and discrimination. Here they are cared for 24 hours around the clock by our 37 dedicated staff members whose sole purpose is to provide these children with the tools they need to survive and live with the dignity they deserve. Upon completion, the dorms will house 100 orphan children.

Long-Term Impact

We strive to be the voice of 100 underprivileged orphans by granting them a location where they can call home and receive all the necessary tools of life that will propel them to adulthood and beyond. This home provides the children of Liberia with a sanctuary where they can grow as great men and women leading the next generation to a new and exciting future. Our organization provides a long term stability for many children thus taking them off the streets where they could be exploited and used.
