This project will help feed, educate and feed Serbian children living in awful conditions (often with no bathroom, running water or electricity). It will also help cover growing medical bills for children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. We are hoping to find a long term solution for children in remote villages to have proper education and life without problems. Most of the families that come to us live on $150 / month basis. If you can call that a life. It's a harsh life for them.
In Serbia 9.5% of children live in absolute poverty, and 30.2% children live below the line of poverty. Nearly 20% percent of children haven't been vaccinated and about 30% of children under the age of five don't receive a healthy, adequate diet due to poverty. These children can't have normal childhoods, eat, or go to school because their families financial issues, most of whom survive with about $120 a month.
This project will ensure food, medical supplies and care, as well as education for over 30 children that we are currently trying to help, and more that are contacting us every day. It will help pay for their medical treatments, trips to hospitals that are far away, catheters, medication etc. As well as feed and educate them to become fully functioning members of society.
This project will help treat, feed and educate at least 30 children to ensure they grow up to be stable adults that can contribute to society and break the chain of poverty within their families and communities.
This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
