A rivalry between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF) erupted into violent conflict. The war has been devastating for the Sudanese people. Many people who were already struggling to make ends meet are now unable to feed themselves or their families because the banking systems and their livelihoods have been disrupted. Over 3 million people have been displaced from their homes and are seeking refuge in safer locations within Sudan and outside the country.
NEF has worked in Sudan without interruption since 1978. Much like other humanitarian and development organizations, NEF faces significant operational challenges due to the conflict, including displacement of NEF staff and extensive damage and looting to our offices. Your donation supports our newly established national coordination hub where staff members are now safely convening and delivering our mission to communities impacted by the crisis.
