Help distressed employees and students in the hospitality and tourism workforce. Covid-19 has altered daily life for most of us. With the generosity of donors and Global Giving, we have been able to assist disadvantaged employees and undergraduate students with unexpected costs incurred during this unprecedented situation. So far, 1 social enterprise was legally created, micro-grants, goods and services were deployed to support the most vulnerable individuals. Your support can make a difference
The lock down has made it particularly challenging for most Malagasy families working in hospitality and travel industry. Hunger and poverty play out privately in the lives of thousands of travel community. Hunger plays out quietly in classrooms as students try to keep up with their lessons. It plays out in the homes of seniors as they sacrifice meals to afford medication. It plays out in hushed conversation between parents, as they try to stretch stagnant paychecks to cover the water bill, etc.
Help us build resilient people. We are joining efforts to ensure equality and basic human rights are met for our beneficiaries. With our partners, we have supported distressed employers and students in the hospitality and tourism workforce. We have been busy detecting, filtering, and interviewing potential beneficiaries since April. Halt Poverty provides nutrition, micro grants, good and services to starving communities. Beneficiaries are trained in nutrition and taught to share their knowledge
Thanks to the continued support and commitment of donors and partners, the project will educate 70 families allowing them to rise out of poverty which will provide for their families' health and well-being
