Help Feed 200 People Every Week for the Next Year

by Be Enriched

We are a group of youth workers and volunteers living in London, UK and we want to help children, young people and adults who find themselves in difficult situations have access to hot food and gain the resources and confidence to cook nutritious meals on a budget. We cook and serve hot meals but also want to do more cooking lessons for children and their families. We need your help

Mary-ann used to be a auxiliary nurse at the local hospital, but when her husband diagnosed with MS she had to give up work to look after him. On the little money they have coming in she struggles to feed herself and her two teenage children. She says that the Friday meal provides her with the weekly respite she needs to keep going. She would love for her children to learn how to cook to share the burden, but she is too tired and doesnt have time. She relies on the Friday meal to pick up veg

We deliver a free hot meal every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, using volunteers and surplus food to help us create nutritious meals. Last year, led by teenagers we developed a cooking course for children and teenagers who don't know how, but we need your help to continue.

Long-Term Impact

This project will give at least 200 more people a week a chance to eat well and pick up the fruit and veg missing from their diet in the company of new local friends. It will give at least 50 young people the chance to learn cooking skills which will help them lead more healthy fulfilling adult lives.
