The deterioration of the socio-economic status in Lebanon, the skyrocketing prices and the COVID-19 have affected many families. With Ramadan coming next month, followed by Eid El Fter, the expenses will further increase. People in Akkar who were already struggling to meet their needs, do not have enough money to prepare for the holy month and buy the essential food. Help us to ensure that deprived individuals in Akkar will not be left hungry in Ramadan and will partake in the joy of Eid.
Akkar is considered one of the poorest areas in Lebanon, with the lowest of average incomes in the country and many families live in conditions where the level of satisfaction of basic needs is very low. The situation became even worse with the unceasing economic crisis that Lebanon is witnessing, followed by the COVID-19 outbreak, which brought about a sharp increase in job cuts and inflation, in Ramadan, the situation will dramatically exacerbate as the consumption of food will increase.
Through this project, we will be helping the poor families and deprived individuals in Akkar such as the elderly, orphans and widows, on different levels: distributing food Boxes, serving warm cooked meals to the people in need, providing financial assistance to the widows, guaranty funds for orphans and elderly to meet their humanitarian needs and distributing clothes for Eid El Fitr festival.
In the long run, this fund will help deprived individuals in Akkar to stay healthy with Safe, nutritious, and sufficient food during Ramadan, a period of 29 - 30 days. In addition to bringing joy and happiness to orphans and poor families' children during Eid El Fitr days.
