Blaise and Marie-Stella
From our last report, we supported 32 children in Tole, among these children is Blaise. Who has made an exemplary result to class 4. Showing that your resources were well invested in our future leaders. This year we have include the junior sister – Marie Stella who is 6 years and still to see the doors of primary education because of the disadvantage position of the family. Two of them will be going to school with full scholarship support from Social Development International costing US$ 300 for the two to get one year primary education.
Blaise and Marie-Stella were born under normal conditions. They developed normally and had not suffered from any serious health problem until last year that they were both victims of cholera attack. Blaise started school in the year 2010, and is going to primary 4 next year academic year. He made a good result, coming out 4th in his class of 40, going to class 4, thanks to the partial educational support he got from Social Development International.
Marie-Stella is yet to start her primary education at the beginning of this academic year. This family has a monthly income that falls below the poverty threshold. The parents are poor handicapes and cannot adequately provide for the feeding and educational needs for their children. Their father is very advanced in age while the children still have a long way to go as regard their education and social development.
There is need for continuous educational support for Blaise and Marie-stella from the secondary network, without this, we see no future for these children’s education which I foresee might be terminated before they complete their primary education.
From the above observations, complete educational assistance for Blaise and Marie-Stella from Social Development International is a priority.
Also we teach the parents family planning, home management and sanitation skills, and family life education to improve on their living conditions for social development of the children.
