Friends, Donors and Suporters,
Maaike, a dutch medical volunteer took over from our Last Volunteer from the UK on children nutritional health and WASH activities for four weeks - November 11 to December 12, 2014.
Maaike, did research about nutrition health, WASH and tropical diseases realities in schools, prepared handouts with information from school nutrition, WASH and tropical diseases affecting school children’s education.
She prepared lessons and taught one lesson a week in each of the three Government primary schools in Bonduma/Bokoko villages and three schools in Tole village -Government Primary school, Presbyterian primary school, Baptist primary school.
In the first lessons, she taught balanced plate using local resources, eating habits, then lessons on WASH. Malaria, HIV and Ebola watch out precautions ended Maaike four weeks with us.
