Dear Friends and Donors,
The 2013/2014 academic year for basic and secondary education started in Cameroon September 02, 2013.
We engaged on sending these two children to complete their primary school education- Blaise in Class four and Marie Stella in class one. These are children of poor and handicapped farming parents in Tole village. Full scholarship , nutrition and sanitation support was approved for them based on the social inquiry we get from our social worker.
We purchased text books, exercisee books, shoes, uniforms, school bags, pay school fees- as they are in a mission school, and didactic materials for schooling worth US$ 355.
After two months, we went back to the field on Monday November 04. 2013 to monitor Marie-Stella and Blaise progress. We assessed their living, psychological and educational situation.
They are doing well, but still need follow up at home, their nutrition and sanitation need to be improved upon if we are to get them up from their present predicament.
With these development, we made a decision to to get them food, nutritional and sanitation items worth US $91:
One 50 kg Bag of rice, seven tablets of washing soap, two rolls of powered washing soap, ten sachets of tomato paste, one packet of maggi cubes, and five litres of cooking groundnut oil.
We are able to do all this with your hard earned money you donated..
Thank you for your generosity in helping the poorest of the poor in our community.
