Twifu Rural Youth And Women Concern is again thanking everybody who has show concern and donated to our project, we as well appealing to all potential donors to make their donations to enable us meet our project target of 20 hand dug wells and 4 KVIP Toilets before the close of December 2011.
The year 2011 has started with lot of activities within our project communities. As indicated in our last report, the donations received so far from Global Giving enabled us to procure the necessary materials to commence the construction of 6 hand dug wells. Work on the wells is going on steadily. To date excavation work has been completed on all the 6 well and concrete lining of the wells is on-going, three completed and ready to be covered with concrete slab, which shall later be fitted with the hand pumps. Hopefully 4 of the wells shall be ready by end March 2011 for target communities to access clean water.
The 6 hand dug wells when completed shall give access to clean water for 1500 people, we are therefore looking forward to receive more donations in the coming months for our project.

Her community, which is almost two kilometres away, is not having clean water and she has to carry water from this hand dug well we provided for the community she attends school 2 years ago every day after school for the house. Her community would soon have a hand dug well fitted with a pump through donations received from Global Giving. According to Vivian her troubles of carrying water home every day after school shall soon be over.
