Project Report | Feb 9, 2015
EarthShare groups are looking out for all of us

Fighting for drinking water in the Columbia Gorge
Fighting for drinking water in the Columbia Gorge

EarthShare Oregon and our almost 80 member charities have started 2015 off with important work, fun projects, and new ways to engage with our environment.

A few examples of  the work EarthShare Oregon funds through our members include:

  • Bark is working to protect the publicly owned drinking water of the residents of Cascade Locks, Oregon, from being sold to a private company looking to bottle and sell it.
  • Bicycle Transportation Alliance is working with the people of Southwest Portland to secure basic safety features on a major connector street for those who bike or walk the street.
  • KS Wild is working urgently to protect 40,000 acres of forest land in Southern Oregon from fast-tracked clearcut logging.

Threats to our lands, water, and livability emerge daily in Oregon, and our members keep track and actively work against them. Your funding and support are making this type of vigilance possible.  Because of the help your donation gives, our groups can effectively mobilize volunteers and get the word out when needed.

Thank you for what you're already doing, and make an additional gift if you can.
