Teacher training to improve children's education with Educa’s Virtual Community 2.0 (Comunidad Virtual EDUCA 2.0)

Objective: Foster a RED EDUCA permanent collaboration model between school principals and teachers by means of a virtual platform to facilitate on line socializing and better practices, training and solving challenges exchanges for collaborative innovative educational projects design, implementation, assessment, and transfer

For the 2016-2017 school year, we have 1200 teachers and school principals, at 53 institutions located in 13 states of the country.

2016-2017 SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM PROGRESS

  1. Training of EDUCA’s staff that is responsible for the platform.
  2. Meetings to revise platform’s functionality and technical characteristics.
  3. Updating of database containing EDUCA’s teachers and principals.
  4. Registration of new teachers and deletion of teachers no longer with us, for every institution.
  5. Start the visits to EDUCA´s schools that are not yet included in this EDUCA Virtual Community 2.0 platform.
  6. Configuration of Complementary Groups with activities that are interesting o all schools, particularly focusing on institutions that are not implementing educational programs.
  7. Tutorial videos with Mexican sign language, prepared in collaboration with Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, to facilitate access and entry to EDUCA’s teachers, considering participation of teachers with special needs.
  8. Delivery of 58 laptops and 41 iPads donated by SAP Mexico, as an incentive for those teachers that had the largest number of contributions during the 2015-2016 school year. Part of the commitment by teachers who received such equipment, is to continue their interaction with Comunidad Virtual EDUCA 2.0
