We at Thabyay Education Foundation would like to express our deep gratitude for your support the Exam Preparation Outreach Program's (EPOP’s) project, 'Help 200 students from Burma study for university' on GlobalGiving.
During 2014, EPOP served 373 students with its three courses (Academic English 1 & 2, TOEFL ITP exam preparation), provided 121 certificates for students having completed EPOP courses and 130 Official TOEFL ITP exams of which students received official transcripts usable for university entrance. More than 50% of the participants received financial aid regarding course fee and learning materials in 2014, following EPOP’s earlier developed standards.
Parallel to this, EPOP reached so far every state and region in Myanmar, except for Magway region, which result shows - compared to 2013`s result - a great progress. EPOP is keen to keep this élan on the same level in 2015 as well to deliver its services to the marginalized groups in each and every state and region.
In September the second semester started with 186 participants. All students had the chance to measure their progress acquired since the beginning of the course, hence EPOP team arranged midterm diagnostic tests in Myanmar, Thailand and Cambodia at the beginning of December. Based on their final diagnostic tests' results taken at the beginning of March EPOP is going to give them TOEFL ITP exam in April, 2015.
We are looking forward with great enthusiasm to starting the new semester at the end of March, due to the more than 140 new applications that we received from various locations from Myanmar and from the Thailand-Myanmar border area.
Thank you for your support!
We would sincerely like to thank everyone who has supported us over the past year.
With our best wishes,
Matyas Benedek
