Finalizing first term of EPOP 2015

By Khin Ma Ma Latt | Program Manager (TeP/EPOP)

26 August 2015
We at Thabyay Education Foundation would like to express our deep gratitude for your support the Exam Preparation Outreach Program's (EPOP’s) project, 'Help 200 students from Burma study for university' on Global Giving.
EPOP is on process of March-August 2015 period with the series of three courses namely Academic English 1 & 2, TOEFL ITP exam preparation. Starting this year, EPOP received a total of 149 new applications which proposed to join the online TOFEL Preparation courses. Students are administered the Final Diagnostic Test (FDT) both in Thailand and Myanmar in the month of March 2015. The students form Cambodia continued their course as AE1 & 2 and TOFEL ITP this year.
The month of August is very exciting for Thabyay e-learning Platform/EPOP, the applications for second semester are receiving the whole month of August as well as it is the Final Term for first Cycle of year 2015 students as well. It means the first semester will end soon and the new intake has prepared to join in September.
During this period we gave 169 Diagnostic Test in order to measure the improvement of EPOP’s students and the level of English of the new applicants. We were also curious to know our students opinion and feedback regarding our work, hence we made a survey among the students who studied with us from March to August at the end of the semester.
We prioritized the recommendations during June, July and August 2015 as follows;
• To manage EPOP online tutors program more effectively
• To update the TeP services of Diagnostics Tests and Online Tests for MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with partner organizations
• To separate the TeP presentation and EPOP presentation for specific information
• To develop partner organization priority strategy to collaborate the future proposed projects
• To develop a M&E plan
Without your help and supports they could not have made these achievements. On behalf of our students and the project team, I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who supports our programme.
We are looking forward with great enthusiasm and accomplishment of EPOP students from various locations from Myanmar, Thailand-Myanmar border area and Cambodia.
If you have any questions about the project, or about our work, please do get in touch with EPOP.
Thank you for your support!
With our best wishes,
Khin Ma Ma Latt
Program Manager (TeP/EPOP)
