Heavy rains and Flood Appeal for 500 families

Summary

The victims of heavy rains in are much worried about their families especially about their children, women and aged to escape them from hardships of the season. This year monsoon is premature. Their belongings lie here and there this includes house hold items and food items both. They have to find means to manage their families' livelihood. On the other hand. They find difficult to repair and reconstruct their damaged and collapsed houses but they are in efforts to manage whatever is left.

Challenge

At present, people and animals lies under the open sky without food, shelter and medicines especially the women, children and aged are the most vulnerable in this situation Although the other people face the same situation. Their stocked food grain for themselves and for animals has also been spoiled, damaged and destroyed. Now, they seek help for themselves and for animals from the other people to keep their body and soul to gather. They have to face hardship of the sever weather.

Solution

EACH Faisalabad is a developmental organization and operational in the plains, where heavy rains, flash floods hit regularly and Jhang , Chiniot, shaikhupura, ferozwala, Okara, Pak Pattan and Sahiwal districts are often hit by rivers Chenab, river Sutlaj , River Ravi and River Jehlam. There are many need of the flood affected people which we cannot address anyhow people and animals needs in the six villages have been identifying and priorities as well with the flood affected people.

Long-Term Impact

Needs of the flood affected people in the six areas are, Food for themselves and for animals, Tents (Temporary shelter ), Medicines for water borne disease, Medical camps, Safe drinking water,Fodder for livestock. The project will last a long term impact on their lives because once they will get their basic need of food and than they will be able to think about their survival otherwise a hungry stomach cannot give energy to think.They would be able to save their families life once they fed.
