Healthy Bodies for 400 Children in Kayamandi, SA

by Vision AfriKa

Vision Afrika provides all participants a fair chance to realize their potential by offering quality academic and non-academic interventions to over 400 children each year. While we focus on academic opportunities for our children, we also spend a great deal of time focusing on exercise and providing nutritious food each day and promoting healthy eating and importance of daily exercise.
total goal

Supporting the next generation of leaders Our learners from Kayamandi and Vlottenburg in Stellenbosch, South Africa grow up in an environment where progress is all too often hampered by a lack of general opportunity, insufficient access to resources and adverse living conditions. Despite these obstacles, they are ready to learn and eager to take responsibility for their own future.

Our programs include a pre-primary and primary school, aftercare, supplementary teaching and mentoring up to Grade 12 and support for university applicants, along with vocational and business skills development. The mission is to give all participants a fair chance to realize their potential. While our programs support academic and education development, we also focus on holistic and non-academic programs that support health, exercise activities, and nutritious meals.

Long-Term Impact

Each year Vision Afrika supports over 400 children in our various pre-primary, primary, and secondary school programs. As children enter the Vision Afrika program beginning at age 2, our academic and non-academic support continues for that child up to age 22. Through the development of one child at a time we will be the community leader in assisting children recognize and realize their greatest potential.
